LeBron James May Not Be What We Thought He Was in 2011 NBA Finals
Sometimes we label athletes the way that we want them to be. Okay, we do that all the time, everyday by last count.
You take one look at LeBron James, and you remark at the NBA god he looks like. His game is flawless when it is good. When it's bad, it is still pretty good.
That may be why we have lauded him as the next Jordan. Some, like Scottie Pippen, think he is so much more. What the NBA Finals have shown us so far is that we were all wrong.

LeBron James is just LeBron James. We have to take him on his word. He stated this succinctly during the Finals.
Anybody that knows me throughout the years, all I care about is the W. I?m not just a scoring guy. I?ve got a lot of points in my career. I don?t have to score points to be effective.
James is just not the killer instinct guy, and that is fine. We need to be fine with that. James is the guy that looks to make his team better. He is used to dishing off, and looking at the entire floor.
He is not one to hog the ball, and demand the moment. Leave that for Kobe or Dwyane Wade. Those guys are built for that mentally.
It is time that we stop shoving a square peg into a round hole. James is great, he just is a different type of great.
