When the Wimbledon seeding came out, tennis fans began to look forward to a potential third round match between Milos Raonic and defending champ and top seed Rafael Nadal.
Raonic's big serve makes him a threat to make good runs anywhere, but certainly on the grass courts of Wimbledon.
Instead, an injury forced Raonic to retire from his match against Gilles Muller.
Raonic, who was not familiar with the grass surface, lost his footing and injured himself while making a shot.

Now, it's not likely that he would have beaten Nadal. Actually, that would have been a tremendous upset.
Heck, it's not even a guarantee that he would have beaten Muller, as Raonic had to retire halfway through the first set.
Still, it would have been an interesting test for Nadal, who should beat Muller much easier.
As commentators pointed out, Raonic made the right move in retiring from the match. He went on to hold his serve after the injury, but was in obvious pain and would have risked serious injury if he continued.
Wimbledon is always a great tournament and this injury does little to diminish that. Still, a third round showdown with Nadal would have been fun to watch.
