NBA Trade Rumors: Spurs Reject Jazz Offer of Devin Harris for Tony Parker

NBA Trade Rumors: Spurs Reject Jazz Offer of Devin Harris for Tony Parker

The San Antonio Spurs are looking to trade point guard Tony Parker, but it won't be just in an effort to rid themselves of the veteran.

According to SI's Sam Amick, the Jazz offered the no. 12 pick and Devin Harris in exchange for Tony Parker, but the Spurs promptly denied their request.

It's not a terrible deal for either team, but if the Spurs move Parker, they don't want another cumbersome contract at the point guard spot in return, even if it means they net a lottery selection in the process.

Neither the Jazz nor Spurs appear ready to sit back and head into next season with the roster as it stands, but it looks like these teams won't be teaming up for a deal.

Both Parker and Harris could draw interest on the open market from other clubs, but their contracts prevent either club from yielding their true worth via trade.

Both teams appear to be ready to pull the trigger on a major deal if they find one to their liking, but only time will tell as to which scenarios will come to fruition.
