South Carolina vs Florida: Can Florida Rebound from Monday's Meltdown

South Carolina Pulls Out Victory From Jaws of Defeat vs Florida at College World Series

This was a game Florida needed to win. It was a game they were about to win. It was a game they looked like they were about to win, but ultimately it was a game they weren't prepared to win.

Florida had the bases loaded in the 10th inning with no outs. Only to get turned away by two impressive plays by the Gamecocks second baseman to get the force out at home. The second turned into a double play to end the inning.

Florida did not show the same poise in the field. Two throwing errors in the 11th inning paved the way for USC to score the one and only run of extra innings.

South Carolina is now just one win away from becoming only the seventh team to repeat as College World Series Champs.

And somehow, someway Florida has to try and rebound from this heartbreaking defeat and win two straight. A possibility that is not out of the question, but blown chances like the one's they suffered on Monday can haunt and linger.
