Gold Cup 2011 Results In Draw Between Honduras And Guatemala

Yesterday at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California Honduras and Guatemala battled to a 0-0 draw in Group B of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Jamaica bested Guatemala in number of shots on goal  4-1, but goalkeepers Ricardo Jerezkept Guatemala alive with an outstanding effort. Honduras 's V�ctor Salvador Bern�rdez Blanco saved the only shot from Guatamela, an attempt by Jos� Contreras.

Earlier that day, in the same stadium, Jamaica crushed Grenada thanks to goals from Demar Phillips, Ryan  Johnson, Luton Shelton, and Keammar Daley. Jamaica outshot Grenada by a whopping 16-1 margin. 

The host country takes the stage later today at Ford Field in Detroit. It's not quite as prominent as last year's mens Olympic Hockey gold medal matchup, but the Unites States and Canada square off at 8 p.m.m in a Group C matchup, following the Panama-Guadeloupe matchup two hours earlier.
