Round 1 didn?t end as well as it started for Chuck O?Neil and the opening of the second stanza continues the downward trajectory as Tony Ferguson continues to land jabs, hooks and inside leg kicks with ease and brutalizing power.
You can hear Charlie Rader and Clay Harvison pleading with Cold Steel to move his head, change up his attack and to give Tony ?something to fear.? Of course, that?s easier said than done, especially when said form outside the Octagon.
In any event, Round 2 is bleeding away from O?Neil?his mouth/nose are a mess of blood and he?s been openly favoring his left leg since about the two-minute mark of the second. Another thwacking leg kick elicits a visible grimace from the underdog and the blood is flowing more freely as he backs into the fence.
Ferguson continues to blast away at that left leg as Harvison tells Chuck to ?carrot top it.? I have no idea what that means and maybe Chuck shares my affliction because he sure as hell ain?t doing it.
The final seconds tick off another 10-9 round for Tony Ferguson.
