2011 NFL Draft Grades: 5 Picks Who Would Fit Better on Another Team

Cameron Jordan Headlines 2011 NFL Draft Picks Who Might Look Better In Another Uniform

These players may not get the most out of their talents because of the system they?ll be entering.

Cameron Jordan, Saints

Jordan?s strength is run defense and New Orleans needs him to be a pass-rushing force in their 4-3 alignment. A 3-4 team like the Jets might have been a better home for him.

Phil Taylor, Browns

Cleveland is moving to a 4-3 front that may not get the most out of the massive Taylor, the draft?s best true nose tackle.

Colin Kaepernick, 49ers

Kaepernick would?ve had to adjust to any offense after Nevada?s distinctive pistol formation. Still, a West Coast offense like San Francisco?s isn?t an obvious choice for a QB who excels at improvising.

Rodney Hudson, Chiefs

Hudson is a prototypical zone blocker who won?t be in a zone scheme with Kansas City. A team like Washington would?ve been a better fit for the undersized center.

Sione Fua, Panthers

Like Taylor, Fua is a legitimate nose tackle, and like Taylor, he?s joining a team that plays mostly 4-3 fronts. He?s missing his calling by not playing in a 3-4.
