Wade Phillips was fired by the Cowboys in early November, and gave his first public comments since the firing on Saturday. A television station in Dallas caught up with Phillips at a high school playoff game.Phillips, pointing to Texas high school football as "where I started," reiterated his love of the game. He didn't have anything to say about the firing, saying, "You know that's past. I'm looking forward." But he did speak about his potential future in the NFL. Namely, he'd still like to have one.
"I still want to coach, so we'll see what happens," he said.
