Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are tasked with overcoming Michael Vick and the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and the Eagles will also be looking to avenge their loss from when these two teams hooked up in Week 1.
And according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the team has its sights set squarely on Rodgers.
In fact, Eagles defensive end Trent Cole apparently has a photo of Rodgers taped inside his locker with a crudely drawn rifle scope on the Packers QB.
"I've seen previous games where he's gotten disrupted when people start hitting. He's been through a couple concussions and all that stuff... we've got to get on him early and get on him fast and I think it's going to create problems for him," said Cole on Friday.
In Inquirer points out that Rodgers did have the best passer rating in the NFL when facing the blitz, and Cole realizes that containing him is a matter of timing.
"We've got to get on him quick," Cole said. "It starts up front, and as a D-line we take full responsibility starting the thing off.
"Ain't no more juking and all that [stuff]. You've got to go straight to the quarterback, straight line, that's the quickest way."
Pressure on the quarterback will be a key for both teams, as the Packers know that they can't afford to let Michael Vick beat them, with either his arm or his legs. They're likely to copy the game plan that worked for the Giants and Vikings, which involved using a variety of different blitzes on Vick.
We shall see on Sunday.
