Chicago Bulls: Can The Bulls Win The Eastern Conference?
All the talk in the NBA Eastern Conference this season has centered around three teams Miami, Boston and Orlando. Interestingly enough, the hottest team in the East right now are the Chicago Bulls.
They have won 20 of their last 26 games, including a big victory over Dallas last night in which they didn't have Carlos Boozer.
Right now the Bulls are the No. 3 seed in the East, behind Boston and Miami. They have the NBA's first half MVP, Derrick Rose. They play great defense and they are one of the best rebounding teams in the association.
They do have to make a move at some point in order to get a true shooting guard. They have tried to do some patch work with that position this year and it has gone pretty well. If they want to compete with those top two teams they will need an upgrade at that position.
Given the talent and resources that they have, don't be surprised if they find someone and become a real threat in the Eastern Conference. That's something we haven't said since the end of the Jordan-era, 12 years ago.
