2011 NBA Draft Lottery: Bismack Biyombo from the Congo Has All-Star Potential

(The 2011 NBA Draft Order will be decided tonight when the friendly ping pong balls drop for the worst 14 teams in the league in the annual NBA Draft Lottery. ?Leading? the way are the Minnesota Timberwolves, who had the worst record in the league last season and have a 25% chance of getting the first pick. Stay with Bleacher Report as we track the latest news, reaction and speculation for the NBA Draft, which will be held next month.)

Bismack Biyombo from the Congo is a player rapidly moving up the rankings on mock draft boards everywhere.

Biyombo is a defensively dominant big man who is a great shot blocker, and is also a very good rebounder.

He has a giant wingspan measuring 7?7?, despite standing just 6?7? tall.

His offense is very raw and needs a lot of work, and he gets a lot of his points off rebounds and transition plays where he can use his elite athleticism to his advantage.

Biyombo is an aggressive player who works hard on every play, and is coachable as well. Whichever team drafts him must be patient in his development, but the reward for waiting could be ending up with a perennial all-star.
