Staring up at the jumbo replay board with mouth open, Larry Bird was sincerely wowed by Tyler Hansbrough's steal and dunk against Chicago yesterday.
And why not?
His Pacers were sticking it to the No. 1 seed in the East, leading the entire game and battling with the Bulls blow after blow, run after run.
The steal, charge down the court and emphatic finish from Hansbrough, while drawing Carlos Boozer's fifth foul, is enough to make anyone get excited, but Bird had to think his team was on the verge of pulling a huge upset as well.
Up nine points with only 3:30 seconds, Hansbrough hit the and-one free throw to give the Pacers a ten point cushion.

In the end it wasn't enough, Chicago ended up defeating the Pacers 104-99 in what could be a terribly deflating loss for Indiana.
Hansbrough and Danny Granger powered the Pacers' charge while Darren Collison played great against Rose, but they couldn't hold on long enough.
Larry Bird was certainly shocked and excited by his team's great start, and I can't help but wonder what his face looked like after the loss.
