Elton John Tells Kings of Leon to Lighten Up and Let Their Songs on 'Glee' (VIDEO)

There's been a bit of a backlash with some bands coming out against their songs being performed on 'Glee.' And, of course, there are artists on both sides of the issue. Sir Elton John, though, doesn't understand what the problem is. On 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:35AM ET on NBC), he said it's a compliment.

"It's a compliment when someone records, or does one of your songs," he said. "It doesn't matter if it's a bad version, it's just a compliment."

And to those bands who are boycotting 'Glee'? "Lighten up you a*******," John said. "This is a compliment. It sends a positive message out. What the hell is wrong with you guys?"
