Caroline Kilel Wins Women's Race in Debut at Boston Marathon
This just gives you an idea of how dominate the country of Kenya is in the Boston Marathon.
Kenya's Caroline Kilel entered the 26.2-mile race this year for the first time.
What did she do?
Proceeded to win the women's race outright, with a time of 2 hours 22 minutes 36 seconds.
Coupled with fellow Kenyan Geoffrey Mutai's course record on Monday, Kilel showed when she edged Desiree Davila of the United States just how spectacular this new crop of Kenyans prove to be in the storied race.
Kilel barely won by a nose against Davila, winning by two seconds and raising her arms in jubilation when she crossed the finish line.

"I'm happy because I won a close one," said Kilel. "I love Boston. I would love to run here many times if they invite me. I feel very happy."
If they invite her?
Boston would have to be foolish not to welcome Kilel back after that debut performance.
This is Kilel's second marathon victory just this year, winning in Frankfurt earlier in the season. She remarkably said she felt "great" in the final 100 meters.
Kilel and Davila gave the race a stunning finish, both going back and forth before Kilel outsprinted Davila in the final 200 yards.
"It was just a perfect day for me...other than not winning."
"I thought maybe there was a little more left in my legs, but I just couldn't pull it off in the last couple seconds of the race. My legs were just shot. That was all I had and [Kilel] was just better today."
We continue to see Boston Marathons like this, the runners' hearts won't only beat furiously, spectators' will, too.
