March Madness Predictions 2011: Boston College Is on the Bubble

Um, ouch. Sorry BC fans.

After falling to Clemson 70-47 in the second round of the ACC tournament, Boston College now finds itself on the outside looking in at the NCAAs.

At least according to Joe Lunardi, whose current ?On The Bubble? selections read as follows:

Last Four in: Virginia Tech, Colorado, USC, Penn State

First Four Out: Alabama, Boston College, Georgia, Memphis

To finagle a bid, BC needed the other bubble teams to lose. The basketball gods did them no favors. Yesterday saw Virginia Tech upend Florida State and MSU thump Purdue.

Teetering ominously on the bubble to begin with, I think the Eagles have now fallen off of it completely. They're just competing against teams with better resumes.
