John Cena Trash Talks With The Rock, and We Probably Shouldn't Bet Against Him at This Point
WWE Superstar John Cena started a war of words with newly returned wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson last week, following his impressive victory over The Miz (although, it still baffles me how a former MTV "Real World" contestant can suddenly be one of the most feared wrestlers in the sport).
After his win, Cena grabbed the mic and started rapping about The Rock, firing verbal jabs and choke holds at the former WWE champ.
Now, The Rock has responded via every sports star's social media avenue of choice: Twitter.
The four-time champ has posted pictures of himself stomping on a John Cena hat, t-shirt and medallion, lending a bit of gasoline to the fire.
While The Rock is certainly no one to be trifled with, even after his lengthy hiatus, it's clear to anyone involved that Cena's probably going to come out on top of this in the long run.
We all know the WWE is trying to hype this rivalry between their two biggest stars. We also more or less know that in order for this rivalry to have a chance at sticking, The Rock is going to have to beat Cena at least once.
But, in the end, I feel like Cena will come out on top; after all, he always seems to do just that, no matter the odds. He's told us repeatedly that he loves the WWE and plans to stick around, and the organization loves to reward loyalty.
So, while we can expect The Rock to win a battle or two, look for Cena to come out on top and win the war.
