NFL Playoff Schedule 2011: Will Charlie Weis New Job Hurt Kansas City?

NFL playoff schedule 2011 pits the AFC West champion Kansas City Chiefs against the Wild Card Baltimore Ravens. And just like the other AFC playoff game this week, it's the road wild card team that finished 2010 with a better record than the home division champion.

The Chiefs lost their Week 17 showdown with rival Oakland to fall to 10-6. It was their second loss in four weeks and the second time in four weeks that the offense struggled. (The first came with an asterisk, since quarterback Matt Cassel was sidelined with an appendectomy).

And although the Chiefs had already locked up a third or fourth seed in the postseason and could not win a bye by defeating the Raiders in Week 17, they didn't put up much of a fight, especially on offense.

That 31-10 loss came a day after news broke that offensive coordinator Charlie Weis was leaving after the season to take over the same job with Florida. Coincidence or not, the Chiefs offense was pretty awful last Sunday, gaining just 201 total yards, netting a horrific 2.4 yards per attempts, and scoring just one touchdown.

Against the excellent Ravens defense, they'll need to be much better.
