Higuain is injured for the rest of the season. Balotelli is also injured for almost a month. Forget it, Adebayor will most probably stay at City. What's next for Mourinho and Co.?
Keisuke Honda.
Honda is a natural-born attacking player who currently plays for CSKA Moscow in the Russian League as well as the Japanese national team. He is basically a playmaker but also thrives as a second striker. He has an eye for goal as well as being a free-kick expert as portrayed by his free-kick goals in last summer's World Cup.
He officially joined the Japanese club Nagoya Grampus in 2005, and soon after that he became a regular. After some good performances, he was snapped up by VVV-Venlo from the Dutch League, where he was often referred to as "Keizer Keisuke," which means "Emperor Keisuke," for his strong displays on the field.
At the end of 2009, he moved to CSKA Moscow in Russia and made his debut in the Champions League match against Sevilla. In the second league against Sevilla, he scored the second goal through a free kick after having set up the first goal for his teammate.
After that, he put on a strong display for his country in the World Cup last summer and was a transfer target of many clubs like Liverpool. But he stayed at CSKA and is currently playing for his country in the Asian Cup in Qatar.
I certainly believe that he has the potential to succeed given the right opportunity. With players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Ozil and Kaka around him, he would certainly thrive with them and put on strong performances for the team. I would believe that he is definitely a better choice to replace Higuain than bringing in Emmanuel Adebayor, who has looked unimpressive and off his best form at the moment.
