New Orleans Hornets: Lakers' Phil Jackson Critical of NBA Ownership

The New Orleans Hornets ownership by the NBA has gained a new enemy in Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson. Namely, his largest concern involves any trade of Chris Paul.

He said of the situation: "When Chris says he has to be traded, how?s that going to go? ? Someone?s going to have to make a very nonjudgmental decision on that part that?s not going to irritate anyone else in the league."

He also went beyond that and questioned the feasibility of a team in New Orleans, saying, "?I don?t know if New Orleans can support a team. It hasn?t been successful in supporting a team until now."

Whether his comments will be looked at carefully by others involved in Hornets decision making or the NBA remains to be seen. Until then, it's another person who's not happy with the NBA owning a team and potentially making a move for its own benefit, rather than the team's.
