It seems like LSU head coach Les Miles is the only person in America that is not watching the Tiger offense struggle every time Jordan Jefferson takes a snap and moves when Jarrett Lee is under center.
The Mad Hatter may be trying not to show his cards before LSU enters the heart of its conference schedule or he may just be stubborn. Either way he needs to get the quarterback situation figured out soon or the Tigers have no chance of competing against conference opponents like Auburn, Alabama or Arkansas.
It is pretty obvious that every time Jefferson is under center, the offensive production is lacking and when Lee leads the offense the chains are moved on a fairly consistent basis.
It does not take an SEC caliber coach to know that if one quarterback moves the chains and the other does not, you go with the one that does. However, Miles seems almost indebted to Jefferson and his refusal to sit the underachieving quarterback could be the demise of the coach’s career at LSU and worse for Tiger fans, could be the cause of LSU not reaching the BCS national championship.
LSU definitely has the talent to go undefeated, win the SEC championship and play for the BCS title this season. It’s the poor coaching and bad decisions that could prevent this from happening.
Lee led the LSU offense on all of their touchdown-scoring drives and yet still Miles plays Jefferson even through the struggles.

Lee will never be able to get into a rhythm or gain the chemistry with his offense needed to contend for national championships if Miles substitutes Jefferson every time Lee leads the Tigers to a score.
If Miles wants to use Jefferson in running situations or on certain packages, that is fine and Tiger fans would appreciate the strategy. However, constant rotation of quarterbacks never works against high levels of competition and it is certainly not going to work in a stacked Southeastern Conference.
Miles needs to make a decision and the only logical decision is to start Jarrett Lee and play him consistently and let him lead this team.
